Wipeout studio closes doors

Another one bites the dust. I fear pretty soon all the small developers will either go under, or be absorbed by the few gigantic ones. In a generation there might not be anything left but EA/Activision and the respective console maker 1st parties.

Ahh, wipeout. Probably one of my favourite PSone games back in the day.

Never played F Zero. Anyone remember Extreme G? I loved it.

I loved F Zero GX. A pity we didn't see a Wii F Zero considering how starved it's been for top notch racing games, little own top notch games in general. But, GX didn't sell well. So I guess I see the way the wind is blowing. It just makes me cringe when I see the kinds of things EA/Activision/Microsoft do to Bioware/Blizzard/Rare respectively. Perhaps all the sadder that these guys were the lucky ones. Most other 3rd parties are just going to go belly up.
