It's a bit scratched in places but it works fine. Might try rubbing it down and painting it.

Just got home from the Darksiders 2 midnight release, got the limited edition and the guide.

Ugh... does the game case actually come packaged in that box too? or is that just for the CD and artbook? If its all packaged in... im gonna have a hard time bringing myself to opening it x . x

There's the CD packaged on the outside of the case, then another layer of plastic wrap to the box that contains the artbook and the game case which is in its own plastic. So yes you're going to have to open it.
