Anyone have opinions on DLC?

Me well no secret I have said my disgust in the past. I have grown to accept it more. However day 1 DLC and DLC on disc or DLC with true endings or you don;t get the full true story unless..
That I find bullshit.

If it's just to add an extra mission but not needed. I can deal with that. Extra costumes are BS also. That used to be on disc. Patches for bugs or something I have no qualms with.

Argul's Tomb maybe my first real DLC and it was a letdown but free. It was just a side dungeon and that I have no issues with.

Unless it's Disc-Locked Content, I'm fine with well-planned DLC.

Same as Frozen. Not a fan of rip-off bullshit, but I've always liked expansion packs. I'd rather extra content to extend a game's experience instead of getting to the end and knowing "that's it".

I'm 50/50 on it. I recently got one for sleeping dogs and I'm happy with it so far. On the other hand I purchased one for GT5 and it didn't work and couldn't get my money back.

That's why I reckon Lionhead nailed it down by releasing demos of the DLC. At the end of the day though, it all comes down to the C, content. If the content justifies the purchase (e.g. GTA IV's DLC, Deus Ex: HR), then that's all well and good, but if it's just for new costumes, weapons, cars, etc., I reckon it's pretty pointless coz it's just cosmetic.

I can't say shit though coz I bought every single one for Arkham City.
