| I was having problems with a Commodore 64 emulator a while back, CCS64. I used to run it perfectly on XP but now I'm on Vista it keeps freezing up. I have no problems with Sega/Nintendo emulators just C64 ones. Anyone else using one? | |

| Run it in compatibility mode for XP SP3 and it should work. | |

| 1: Any information other than that your PC doesn't boot? 2: Whereabouts do you live?

| Haha, far from Manc land mate. Lydd-On-Sea, corner of the country.
Couldn't really get my head around why it didn't boot, it was going around in circles restarting. I've got a Rock laptop now with I think was quite high powered when it was new. Runs flight sim ten with no problems.

| Sounds like something simple that can be sorted in the BIOS. Either send me the whole computer, or just send me the hard drive and I'll sort it for you. I wouldn't charge much at all, and I'll get it done fairly quickly. I ain't good with tech speak PC-wise or the terminology, but I've been takin shit to pieces and fixin em ever since I can remember, this'll be a piece of piss. | |

| TBH I quite like the laptop. Think I'll keep trying more emulators. Know of any better ones to try?

| Try going into safe mode by tapping f8 when it starts booting as well. If you can get into safe mode it might very well just be a windows software issue.
Oh as far as compatibility mode goes on vista, right click the exe for the emulator, go to properties, look for the compatibility mode tab, then just select windows xp sp3 and try to run it. Also try turning on run as administrator.

| I could give that a go.
There's nothing on there I need anymore. Just used it for itunes and flight sim 10. All my music has been transfered from the ipod to my laptop. I use a blackberry playbook for my internet now days so don't need it for internet.
